What are we looking for?
Workshops will be held August 25- 28, with both 45 minute and 60 minute sessions. We are especially interested in sessions featuring high levels of interactivity with attendees through hands-on demonstrations, audience participation, gamification or other methods of audience engagement. We are also looking for sessions that provide a deep dive into a given topic, expanding beyond the surface level introduction of a concept. This may include, but is not limited to, detailed case studies, incident investigation reviews, or thorough discussion.

What Makes a Winning Proposal?
Due to the large number of submissions and limited session slots, even submissions that score well may not be able to be accepted. To give your proposal the strongest chance, below are some tips to keep in mind.
- All submissions must be received electronically via the portal, before the deadline January 19th to be considered.
- Proposals must be complete at the time of submission.
- Provide achievable learning objectives. Learning objectives should outline what an attendee can expect to learn over the course of the session.
- Consider what takeaways your audience can expect to bring back to their workplace. Answer the question, “As an attendee, how can I apply this to my current role?” or “How can this help me achieve my career goals?”
- You do not have to be a professional speaker. We welcome submissions from anyone with a passion for advancing safety and health excellence in the workplace.
Honoraria
Safety+ Symposium speakers receive full complimentary conference registration. Registration includes access to all workshops, exhibit hall, networking receptions, and attendee lunches. Travel, hotel, and additional meal expenses are not included.
