Special Government Employee Training
Friday, August 23* – Saturday, August 24 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
The Special Government Employee (SGE) Program was designed to give Voluntary Protection Program (VPP) Participants the unique opportunity to work alongside OSHA to conduct onsite VPP evaluations, as well as review applications, reapprovals, and self-assessments. By becoming an SGE, you gain access to a network of EHS&S professionals unlike any other. In addition, you have the opportunity to best practices in action and share your knowledge with others in the community as well. Open to VPP site employees at all levels, to register for this two-day training, here: https://www.osha.gov/sge/sge-training. There is no cost to apply for the program. Deadline to register for the August 23-24 course is July 15, 2024.

VPPPA Golf Tournament

Join your fellow safety professionals for a friendly round of golf to support the VPPPA scholarship program. All proceeds from the tournament will go towards supporting four annual $3,500 scholarships awarded to students pursing a degree or certificate in EHS. Snacks and beverages will be provided on the course, and we’ll wrap up with an awards luncheon, thanking everyone for their support and poking a little fun at the day’s outcome.

VPPPA’s 2024 Safety+ is taking attendees out to the ball game! Join us as we take over Coors Field in downtown Denver Wednesday evening, August 28 as the Colorado Rockies take on the Miami Marlins. Your Safety+ registration includes a game ticket complete with a $10 concession credit for peanuts and cracker jacks, as well as bus transportation to and from the Gaylord Rockies.
What’s a baseball game without a pregame tailgate? Join fellow attendees for VPPPA’s closing night festivities out on the Gaylord Rockies verandah after sessions wrap up for snacks and beverages before boarding buses to Coors Field. Bring your baseball glove and catch the fun as we close out VPPPA’s 2024 Safety+ in style! Registered attendees will receive an email prior to the conference to RSVP, so don’t miss out!
